Marco Käppeli
drums *1951. Lives in Aarau. Studied with Billy Brooks at the Swiss Jazzschool in Bern. Since 1980 he is a professional musician and leader of his own bands like “Marco Käppeli Connection“. He worked with working bands like “KOCH-SCHÜTZ-KÄPPELI (with Hans Koch and Martin Schütz), with Joe Malingas "Southern Africa Force" and with the “Peter Schärli Trio - Sextet“. At the moment he is working with "Alpine Experience" (mit Hans Kennel, Paul Haag, Heiri Känzig, Roland Schiltknecht, Patrizia Dräger), "Marco Käppeli Selection" (mit Hämi Hämmerli, Bruno Amstad, Günter Weiss, Joke Lanz), "Interkantonale Blasabfuhr" (Sextett), "Tunenotune" (mit Fredi Lüscher, Daniel Studer) Trio "Siron-Vonlanthen-Käppeli" (mit Jacques Siron, Vinz Vonlanthen) and oversea with DAY & TAXI. He is writing music for films and theater and he is working as a theater actor. Marco Käppeli played on the international Jazzfestivals of Montreux, Willisau, Zürich, Berlin, Le Mans, Jazzyatra Festival Jndien, Sydney, Riga etc. and toured in the USA, Southamerika, Russia, Baltikum, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Australien, Singapore, Hongkong, Thailand and in Europe.
